This show was a huge undertaking, we were working with a first time designer, a first time director, and a play written for a unit set that was to be preformed in the round. It involved alot of creative problem solving, and working around the clock to finish, including the night before and up to a couple hours before opening. For painting it was incredibly strenuous as it involved many different textures and colors of wood grain, brickwork, grout, tile and plaster. While working on this I had the privilege of designing the wood grains, and the brickwork. This involved countless samples, glazes, and very quick research as there was no time to mess up. Our carpenters were also enlisted in this process, and I gained the experience of managing a team of carpenters working as first time painters.
